Sharktopus Is Coming! Half Shark Half Octopus

Sharktopus is coming!

Craig Ferguson just did part of his monologue on the soon coming SyFy film Sharktopus.

Being produced by Roger Corman, Sharktopus features a creature that is half shark and half octopus…certainly enough to give anyone nightmares or at least brief pause into going into the water.

And this as Piranha 3D its appearance. Corman produced the original version of the movie.

The first time I saw the commercial for the film I laughed thinking I’ve got to see this! Hopefully it will be as wild a ride as it looks, with or without 3D. Being eaten by a toothy fish has got to be an awful way to go!

I remember when I was in college I use to watch a basketball anime called Slamdunk. This anime is one of the best anime I’ve ever seen and have lots of fans all over the globe. Slamdunk is based on a manga written by Takehiko Inoue and started circulation on Japan in the early 90’s. The story evolves around Sakuragi Hanamichi a delinquent freshman student in Shohoku High who met a girl named Haruka and introduced him to basketball.

Slamdunk also has a lot of interesting characters. One of them is Kaede Rukawa, a fellow freshmen and Sakuragi’s rival(in and out of the court). Rukawa is Shohoku’s super rookie, his known as good scorer but can sometimes be selfish because he want’s to win so bad. Hisashi Mitsui a former MVP during junior high but got injured during his first year in Shohoku. He became the leader of his own gang after quitting basketball. He returned to the team after a year of hiatus. Miyagi Ryota is Shohoku’s speedy point guard he considers himself the best point guard in kanagawa prefecture and also a trouble maker like Sakuragi. Takenori Akagi is the teams Center and Captain he is considered to be Kanagawa’s number 1 center. This characters makes Slamdunk a fun and interesting Anime.

Posted on August 10th, 2010 by admin in Media & Entertainment | No Comments »

A cell phone reverse lookup service may definitely come in handy for numeruos kinds of circumstances, but not all services are good. There are free reverse phone lookup services that MAY give you the info you need, but it’s important to note that they are only good if you are trying to search a land line number. Unfortunately, the databases that free services use won’t tell you anything about cell phone or unlisted numbers, which leaves a high chance that you won’t find what you’re looking for.

We advise checking out a paid telephone reverse lookup if you’re really serious about acquiring information regarding a person fast and effortlessly – especially if you are trying to lookup a cell phone number. Certain companies are better than others because they have directories that contain cell phone numbers. You see, chances are you won’t be able to lookup cell numbers at ANY of the free services because the cell phone directories must be put together by hand which is a time-consuming and expensive process that cell phone carriers don’t want to handle.

Posted on August 6th, 2010 by admin in Media & Entertainment | No Comments »

Of course, while it’s important to focus on what the child IS doing because of your gift, we can’t help but note the value of what the child ISN’T doing. Recent studies have shpown that as time in front of television and computer screens continues to grow, negative effects on temperament, eyesight, obesity, self image, cardiovascular fitness and diabetes all result (across the population). Every hour scouring through a magazine is an hour not dedicated to the computer or the television.

There are many different holiday gifts that you can give your children, but this year really take some time to think about what you are giving them. Magazine subscriptions are a real treat for children in addition to being substantially more affordable than the average video game or toy. This year give a gift that will last through the year, and that will help to instill a love of reading in your child.

CD Storage Case With Handle

Posted on August 5th, 2010 by admin in Media & Entertainment | No Comments »

One of the things that I look for when I buy a cd storage case is that it should have a handle. I am partial to cd storage cases that are box types and have hard plastic exteriors. Since these cases are as big as a small or a box seat, carrying them around is not that easy. If transferring them from one room to another inside the house, its okay since they can be just pushed to the other room. However, when bringing them out, it would be really great if they have a handle so that the one carrying it will not have a problem.

The magazine began by focusing fishing, hunting, sport and baseball, but by the 1960’s it became a more well rounded sports magazine. Some issues that are considered very popular include the June 11th 1973 issue featuring Secretariat, and the April 1974 issue featuring a story on Hank Aaron’s 715 homerun.

And of course, Rolling Stone Magazine is another popular favorite, first started published in November 1967. It has been considered the authority on Rock and Roll from it’s beginning, and some of the most popular issues include the deaths of great music icons such as John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Bob Marley.

Of course, there are many other magazines that collectors love, besides those listed here. For example, Mad Magazine has many followers, as does Time Magazine, the New Yorker, and Fortune Magazine. These are some of the more popular collector magazine subscriptions.
