Is it okay to have just pick your own seats at the reception?

Posted on June 3rd, 2010 by admin in pick your own | 17 Comments »

We dont want to have a full on formal reception – we’re having a meal, putting on the bar, probably having one or two small speaches (not sure on this yet) and basically just want to have a bit of a celebratory party – we’re laid back people. Is it okay just to have people pick where they sit for their meal? Is this something thats done?

Frankly, I’m 30 and have attended a wedding and have only ever been to one with assigned dinner seating. Your guests are, presumably, adults and can behave accordingly. Which means sitting next to someone they may not know for an hour to eat a meal.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I’ve never heard a single person outside of YA complain about picking their own seat. Focus on things that matter and leave the seating charts alone.

Free iPhone Ringtones from your iTunes!!!

Posted on June 1st, 2010 by admin in pick your own | 25 Comments »

Tired of having the same ol’ standard ringtones for your iPhone? Tired of having to pay for ringtones with limited selections? Well check this out: Okay this may sound like it’s hard but it’s really really easy and it’ll save you a butt-load of money! Here are the steps;
1. Pick a song you want as your ringtone *(you can’t use a song with the DRM or whatever it’s called, so that means is that you can’t use a song you bought from iTunes. But you can use songs you’ve ripped of mp3’s you’ve Legally* downloaded).
2. Pick any portion of the song you want but remember it can’t be longer than 40 seconds. Write down when that portion starts and when it ends.
3. Highlight that song and right-click to the “get info” tabb. Then go to the options tab in that same window and check the boxes that say start and end times. Here is where you use the times you’ve written down.
4. Click okay, then make sure that same song is highlighted and then go the advanced tab up top. Click on the “Create AAC version.” (This creates the same song but it’s only as long as the length you set it to).
5. Find the new version of your song and drag it to your desktop. Go back and delete the ACC version of your song because you won’t need it anymore and change the start and end settings back to normal of the original song.
6. rename the extension from “songname.m4a” to “songname.m4r” (all your doing is just changing the last letter from a to r). Your computer may say “are you sure” YEAH YOU’RE SURE!
7. Almost done, okay find your iTunes library and go look through your music library for a “Ringtone” folder (it’ll be same fold where you’ll find the artists name folders). and just drag your file in the ringtones folder.
8. Open up iTunes and go to file, click on add to library and look for the ringtones folder and add the new item, and PRESTO!!! You have yourself a brand new Ringtone for your iPhone

it’s really cool

When playing the lottery, Is it best to pick your own numbers or let the computer choose them?

Posted on May 29th, 2010 by admin in pick your own | 3 Comments »

I never pick my own numbers and I only play the lottery when the jackpot is at its highest. anyways, I just want to make sure I am not hitting the automatic lose button by letting the computer do it.

The Lottery would have nothing to gain by somehow picking losing numbers for you.
The jackpot is always given away and even when it isn’t won it is rolled over.

I personally only play during rollovers.
and when i do I let the computer pick my numbers.
If I kept regular numbers I would feel pressured to play every week in case my numbers came up when i hadn’t played.

Needless to say this would be devastating so to aavoid this problem I randomize my numbers.

Lottery Numbers quick pick or pick your own numbers?

Posted on May 23rd, 2010 by admin in pick your own | 5 Comments »

Is it better to pick your own numbers or let the computer do a quick pick.
What way has the most winners?

Doesn’t matter, if you must play the lottery play the scratch off tickets. I would say save your $$$$$ and don’t play any of them. The lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math……..think about that for a minute.

Powerball :
Jackpot – 1 : 195,249,054.00
$200,000 – 1 : 5,138,133.00
$10,000 – 1 : 723,144.64

Mega Millions :
Jackpot – 1 : 175,711,536
$250,000 – 1 : 3,904,701
$10,000 – 1 : 689,065

Do you pick your own numbers when playing the lottery?

Posted on May 20th, 2010 by admin in pick your own | 3 Comments »

Do you pick your numbers or do you use the random generated numbers that the system picks for you?

pick my own lucky numbers.
